Facilities


There are 3 spacious bars within the track where you can enjoy the live racing. There is seating in all these bars for your comfort.

On the Ground floor we have our snack bar where you can enjoy a variety of home cooked foods and delicious desserts at competitive prices.
Racegoers have the option of watching the racing outside or in our 3-storey grandstand and on our large TV displays throughout the stadium. All races are replayed immediately after each race, so you can relish the action.
Betting is easy and simple at our track and you can enjoy a flutter for as little as 50p per race. 
There are many tote betting facilities around the stadium staffed with helpful personnel.
You will also find our forever busy book makers hall downstairs.

Disabled access: Access throughout the stadium is simple on both floors for customers who need wheel chair access and we have a lift for any patrons who have difficulty with our one flight of stairs.

What time do the gates open and what is the racing times?
On Monday the gates open at 2pm
On Tuesday the gates open at 5pm
On Wednesday the gates open at 5pm
On Saturday AM the gates open at 10.30am 
On Saturday evening the gates open at 5pm
On Sunday the gates open at 10.30am

First race on Monday is 15.02pm and last race 18.26pm
First race on Tuesday is 18.29pm and last race is 21.18pm
First race on Wednesday is 18.29pm and the last race is 21.18pm
First race on Saturday AM is 11.11am and the last race is 14.42pm
First race on Saturday evening is 18.34pm and the last race is 21.28pm
First race on Sunday is 11.04am and the last race is 14.32pm

Do you have a car park and can coaches park there?
Spacious free car parking is available for all customers of Doncaster Greyhound Stadium. The Stadium does not accept any liability for any damage to, theft from, or loss of vehicle howsoever caused. Vehicles are parked entirely at the owner’s risk. There is plenty of space for coaches and minibuses.  Overnight parking is not permitted. Vehicles may be removed. The distribution of leaflets and/or printed materials strictly prohibited on the Stadium site and on the car park.

How many races are there?
There's 12 races on all meetings apart from Tuesday which has 10 races.

What happens if it is raining?

Greyhounds race in all-weather so rain or shine we will be open. We have large indoor areas with live television coverage of the racing, so you won’t miss any of the action.

Do I need to book and pay in advance for Restaurant and Special Packages?
All Restaurant and Special bookings require full payment, in advance and in accordance with our terms & conditions of booking.

What happens when I arrive at the stadium and do I need tickets?
When you arrive if you got straight to the Main bar area they will assist you with your pre-purchased tickets and pointing you in the right direction.

Is there a dress code in operation?
Smart casual. No Baseball caps are to be worn in the restaurant.


Can you cater for large parties and/or corporate events?
We can cater for large parties, both in our Restaurant and as part of our Track Packages. We can cater for up to 170 people in our Restaurant.

Can I sponsor a race?
A variety of race sponsorship packages are available. Please get in touch with our office team on 01302 351 639.

Do you serve fast food?
There is a snack bar serving a variety of hot and cold food situated on the ground floor of the stadium.

Can I bring children?
Children are able to come and enjoy the racing as long they are within the care of a supervising parent at all times. It is illegal for anyone under the age of 18 years to purchase or drink alcohol or to place a bet. It is also an offence for an adult to place a bet or purchase alcohol on behalf of anyone under the age of 18 years. Children are not permitted at the bar counters.

Do I need to bring ID with me?
We operate a Challenge 21 policy. If you are lucky enough to look 21 or under you will be asked to provide ID to prove that you are over 18 should you seek admission to the Stadium with a fab five ticket, if you attempt to place a bet or if you attempt to purchase alcohol. It is illegal for anyone under 18 to place a bet. Alcohol will not be served to, and cannot be consumed by, anyone under 18. Any person attempting to place a bet, or purchase alcohol, on behalf of anyone under 18 will be required to leave the premises. The only acceptable forms of ID are a current valid photo card full/provisional driving licence or a current valid passport.

How to Find Us

From the M1
Taking the M1 North or South, exit at J32 and take the M18 towards Doncaster. Exit at J4 and turn left. At the first roundabout go straight ahead, then turn right at the second and third roundabouts. Turn left at the traffic lights outside the Flarepath pub. At the next T junction turn left. The stadium is the first left over the rail way bridge.

From the M62
Taking the M62 east or west at the junction 35 and head towards Doncaster. Exit at J4 and turn left. At the first roundabout go straight ahead, then turn right at the second and third roundabouts. Turn left at the traffic lights outside the Flarepath pub. At the next T junction turn left. The Stadium is the first left over the railway bridge.
From the A1 (South)
From the South Exit at junction with the M1. Head towards Doncaster. Exit at J4 and turn left. At the first roundabout go straight ahead, then turn right the second and third roundabouts. Turn left at the traffic lights outside the Flarepath pub. At the next T junction turn left. The stadium is the first left over the railway bridge.

From the A1 (North)
Exit on to the M62. Then exit at junction 35 and head towards Doncaster. Exit at J4 and turn left. At the first roundabout go straight ahead, then turn right at the second and the third roundabouts. Tote Betting Guide

Tote betting, available to over 18's, is a pool system whereby your return is determined by how much has been bet into the pool. You can place your bet at any of the Tote Booths around the Stadium. Our Tote Operators will assist anyone unfamiliar with betting. Dividends are displayed on the screens throughout the stadium and declared to a £1 stake. You can collect your winnings from any Tote Booth. All tote bets are subject to the rules on display at the Stadium.

This Stadium operates a Challenge 21 policy. If you are lucky enough to look under 21, you will be asked to prove that you are over 18 before placing a bet. The only Accepted forms of ID are current valid passport, provisional or full valid photo card driving licence.
Win
This is a single bet requiring you to nominate the greyhound.
Ask for: Win – Trap Number – Stake
e.g. “Win – Trap 3 – £1″
Total investment = £1.00

Place
This is the simplest bet of all and requires you to nominate the greyhound which finishes either first or second.
Ask for: Place – Trap Number – Stake
e.g. “Place – Trap 3 – £1″
Total investment = £1.00

Each Way
This is two bets, a Win bet and a Place bet, on the same greyhound. If your selection wins, you will receive one Win divided (from the Win pool) and one Place dividend (from the Place pool).
 If your selection comes second, you will receive the Place dividend only.
Ask for: Each Way – Trap Number – Stake
e.g. “Each Way -Trap 3 – £1″
Total investment = £2.00 (ie. 2 bets)

Forecast
This bet requires you to nominate the two greyhounds to first and second, in the correct order.
Ask for: Forecast – Trap Numbers – Stake
e.g. “Forecast – Traps 3 and 5 – £1″
Total investment = £1.00

Reverse Forecast
This is effectively two bets, requiring your two selected greyhounds to finish first and second, in either order.
Ask for: Reverse Forecast – Trap Numbers – Stake
e.g. “Reverse Forecast -Traps 3 and 5 – £1″
Total investment = £2.00 (i.e. 2 bets)
Trio
This bet requires you to nominate the three greyhounds to finish first, second and third, in the correct order.
Ask for: Trio – Trap Numbers – Stake
e.g. “Trio -Traps 3, 5 and 1 – £1″
Total investment = £1.00

All Ways Trio
This is actually six bets, requiring you to nominate the three greyhounds to finish first, second and third, in any order.
Ask for: All Ways Trio – Trap Numbers – Stake
e.g. “All Ways Trio -Traps 3, 5 and 1 – 50p”
Total investment = £3.00 (i.e. 6 bets)
